Twelve Shots On The Rocks (Reissue) - (Brian) Live at Molotow, Hamburg, Germany - February 25th 2005 - (Michael) "Buried Alive" is a worthy aftermath to one of the greatest bands ever and one of the true originators of Glam/Sleaze rock. Hanoi Rocks may be put to rest but the music lives on. The club has also been Hanoi Rocks' homeground and the 8 sold out Tavastia farewell shows in 6 days just underlines that. The crowd is very close to the stage and overall Tavastia is a very cool club to film the show. The club is packed and the atmosphere is amazing. The small stage at Tavastia Club hampers them a bit but when you play 2 hours and 30 minutes you need to save some energy. The band is energetic and plays with passion. Nasty Suicide and former drummer Lacu joins in for the grande-finale Up Around the Bend - the song that always closes Hanoi Rocks' shows. Christell are good exponents for the "new" Hanoi Rocks, while Nasty Suicide makes a guest appearance on Travellin' Band and Taxi Driver. The farewell show does not dwell in the past but compiles Hanoi's career beautifully. This live recording only proves that the band is tight and their songs are timeless. McCoy and Monroe have put Hanoi Rocks to rest, but the band goes out on a high note with brilliant albums like "Street Poetry", "Another Hostile Takeover" and "12 Shots on the Rocks".

The comprehensive show is filmed at Tavastia Club, Helsinki, Finland April 12th 2009 and just released under the meaning title "Buried Alive".

Monroe, McCoy and their Swedish younger fellas give a great lesson of rock & roll with an astonishing set list where songs from the newer albums get mixed with classics like Tragedy, the opening track.Īlthough Tavastia Club is maybe a bit too small for filming this kind of big farewell concerts, and the same time, it is emotive to see the packed audience totally adoring their idols in the most famous rock club of Finland people there cannot refrain tears in their eyes in songs like Don´t You Ever Leave Me. If you are a fan of Finnish rock, and basically of rock history in general, you cannot miss this DVD with the last show of Hanoi Rocks not only in Finland, but as a whole band before parting ways. Shot at Tavastia Club on April 12th 2009, this live concert is the last one by the mythical Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks. Posted December 31st, 2009 / By Antonio Diaz in Albums, Music
